Motivation - Discover how your mind and your body work together...

I want to make a bold statement here.

Losing weight and getting back your figure is NOT ABOUT THE FOOD AND EXERCISE!!! 

If it was you'd have your shape and be really healthy already.

Grab a pen and paper and make a mark for each one of the following...

In the last 3 to 5 years, have you reduced the total number of calories you eat in a day in an effort to lose weight?

  • Have you shrunk your portion sizes?
  • Cut back carbohydrates?
  • Stopped eating certain foods?
  • Stopped eating after a certain time at night.
  • Added a certain type of food.
  • Bought something from an infomercial.
  • Ordered prepacked or frozen food to be sent to your home.

Many of us (including yours truly) have tried one or more of these different methods, but have we met our goal of losing weight?

So what stops us?

I believe the things we forget in our pursuits of goals in all walks of life are these - The deeper reasons why we want something and why we haven't got it yet

An example. If financial security is your goal you have to acknowledge it isn't about your income. I bet you've come up with lots of ways to make more money, but you stil aren't financially secure.

 

It's the same with weight loss - discover your real reasons why, and you will succeed.
